Great Plains Church Mission Statement

Great Plains Church has a clear vision: to be the hands and feet of God right here, in the neighborhood where we are planted. We have a great time when we come together here at the Connection Center. We worship loud and long, we share our lives with each other in home groups throughout the week and we gather for prayer before our Sunday service to pray for each other, our community, and our church service. We come expecting to hear from God in sermons, and as we pray together we know God will answer.

But just having church isn't enough for us. We aren't here for ourselves. We are praying every week for the people around us. We are taking steps every week to get to know them, and to find ways to show God's love in practical ways. And beyond this neighborhood, we have regular outreach to the homeless, to the poor, in the jails and on the streets. We love being in the family of God, but we know our place is to stay close to the door, where the rest of the world is, where they can experience the love of God up close, in living people, who have the Gospel of Christ in their hearts.
